ZuniCore Cloud Resource Pools
What are they?- Cloud Resource Pools are computing resources, set aside in which one or more virtual server images can be created, configured, run and removed.
Why are they important? – Commercial websites typically need web servers, databases and other dedicated services. These are often installed on separate server images for reasons of security, scalability or performance. Cloud Resource Pools allow the user to create and configure such virtual images within a predefined Cloud Resource Pool.

The Tough Questions:
Why did PEER 1 take so long to release a cloud product?
Is ZuniCore their first shot at Cloud Hosting, or is this their improved result of previous efforts?
ZuniCore claims that their product is the first cloud solution to be built by consultants from the business community, yet that seems quite vague.
Have they done a good job defining their target market?
In June 2012, ZuniCore’s Parent company PEER 1 announced that their new HPC Self Serve cloud will be
powered by the Zunicore Cloud Platform. HPC Self Serve is a hybrid cloud computing environment that allows users to combine virtual and physical servers in an on-demand fashion.
Greg Rusu, head of Zunicore and previously featured as an Industry Thought Leader on Colo & Cloud, recently stated that “With PEER 1 Hosting’s new HPC Self Serve Cloud, businesses will benefit from maximum performance on-demand, whenever they need it – while managing ever-tightening constraints on business resources and budgets.”
